Recycling tips
- Do not put paper recycling in plastic bags. Plastic bags do not belong in the paper recycling bin.
- All containers empty, rinsed & dry
- Place shredded paper in paper bags
- Cardboard is flattened and broken down
- Carpeting must be cut into 4 feet lengths, rolled and tied up, then placed out with the garbage.
- Car batteries must be taken to a mechanic or gas station for disposal.
- Regular batteries can be put out with the household garbage.
- Styrofoam is not recyclable. Styrofoam can be placed in with garbage.
- Mattresses have to be wrapped in plastic and placed outside the garbage bins
